Rayon has good strength and abrasion resistance

Rayon is a silky man-made fiber composed of cellulose, an organic compound that makes up the main component of plants. Precisely because it is a cellulosic fiber, many properties are identical to those of other fibers such as cotton and flax. The fibers are tooth-shaped.

The sources of rayon are petroleum and biology. The rayon derived from biology is called regenerated fiber. The preparation method of regenerated fiber: extract pure α-cellulose (called pulp) from cellulose raw material, use caustic soda, carbon disulfide After treatment, an orange-yellow cellulose sodium xanthate is obtained, which is then dissolved in a dilute sodium hydroxide solution to become a viscous spinning dope, called viscose. The viscose is filtered, matured (placed at a certain temperature for about 18-30 hours to reduce the esterification degree of cellulose xanthate), defoamed, and then wet-spun. The coagulation bath is composed of sulfuric acid, sodium sulfate and sulfuric acid. Zinc composition. The cellulose sodium xanthate in the viscose is decomposed by the action of sulfuric acid in the coagulation bath, the cellulose is regenerated and precipitated, and the obtained cellulose fiber becomes viscose fiber after washing, desulfurization, bleaching and drying. Since carbon disulfide in production is toxic, it is easy to catch fire and explode when mixed with air, so it is necessary to treat the three wastes (exhaust gas, waste water and waste residue), and pay attention to labor protection and safety. Currently, non-toxic cellulose solvents are being explored.

Viscose rayon is a medium to heavy duty fiber with fair to good abrasion resistance, hydrophilic properties (11% moisture regain), this fiber is dry cleanable and washable with good care, no It produces static electricity or pilling, and the price is not expensive.
